Ag in the Classroom

Each year the SJFB Foundation for Agricultural Education sponsors 4 days of Ag in the Classroom in June consisting of exciting tours of farms and agricultural businesses in San Joaquin County. This event is open to all K – 12 Educators in San Joaquin County. Teachers are introduced to the agriculture industry through numerous field trips and presentations and learn how agriculture can be incorporated into mathematics, natural sciences, language arts, history, geography and nutrition. In addition to the exciting tours, the teachers are supplied with numerous resources and lesson plans to assist in incorporating agriculture into their classrooms. Upon completion, 2 units of continuing education are received through CSU, Stanislaus.
