The SJFB Foundation usually hosts 2-3 fundraisers each year. These events enable us to provide two programs for local teachers so they can learn more about the importance of agriculture in our region. Each year we reach between 20-40 teachers as we present to them the material to make sure agriculture is a relevant topic in their classroom.

One of the other major uses of our program funds is to fund scholarships for local students. This enables us to help our future leaders achieve their educational goals so they are better prepared to lead us in the future.

Our SJFB Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization so many individuals donate to our group as a charitable donation. Please consult with a tax accountant when making contributions.

 

HOW YOU CAN HELP

  1. Donate to the Foundation in any amount. Checks can be made directly to the SJFB Foundation and mailed to: 3290 N. Ad Art Road, Stockton, CA 95215.
  2. Attend a Foundation event - see below for more details.
  3. Create a Memorial Fund to donate in memory of a loved one. If you know a strong supporter of agriculture, make a contribution in his or her name to ensure that educating the youth of this region about our industry takes place in the future and that this practice carries on in memory of this special person.

 

FOUNDATION EVENTS 2012

SJFB Foundation Wine Tasting and Auction
March 8, 2012 will mark the 21st Annual Wine Tasting for the SJFB Foundation. We will hold the 2012 event at the Robert J. Cabral Agricultural Center in Stockton. We have awarded more than $250,000.00 in scholarships and we have educated thousands of teachers and students in our region due to the support for this great event. Each year, we have more than 300 people in attendance to sample food from our areas great restaurants and wines from some of the best wineries. Plan to attend this event in 2012. Please submit your name if you would like to receive an invitation or ticket information.

Tickets are $50 each with Sponsorships available at $250, $500 and $1000. All checks should be made out to the SJFB Foundation.

SJFB Dinner in the Orchard
Each year, we host approximately 100 people for an intimate evening in the Lucchetti family orchards in Stockton. This event highlights locally produced food and wine in a great meal prepared by the Alder Market Bistro and is ALWAYS a sell out. If you would like to be included in the 2011 Dinner in the Orchard invitation list, click here to contact our office. Tickets to this event are $100.00 each with sponsorships at $250, $500 and $1000.00.
