Each year the Foundation sponsors two Ag in the Classroom events. These events are open to all K-12 educators in San Joaquin County. The purpose of these events is to introduce teachers in our county to the agriculture industry through numerous field trips and presentations. In June the Foundation sponsors a 4-day event in which the class tours numerous farms and ag businesses, and in October sponsors a 2-day event that educates on a specific crop, with numerous tours focusing on that commodity. In addition to the exciting tours, the teachers are supplied with numerous resources and lesson plans to assist in incorporating agriculture into their classrooms.
