Days
Join us on
October 23,2008 for a day full of great
learning opportunities at the South County Ag Venture. This event is open to third
grade classes in Manteca area schools. FREE transportation will be provided and need not be
arranged by participating schools. Come learn about locally
grown agricultural products; learn how they're produced,
how they're processed, and how nutritious they are for your
body!

The AgVenture
program is a program sponsored by the local board of
supervisors, county Ag Commissioner, Farm Bureau, Farm Bureau
Agricultural Education Foundation, county Public Health, San
Joaquin Cooperative Extension, Centromart, Food 4 Less, and
Rancho San Miguel Markets. The goal is to educate county third
graders on the vast diversity of agricultural products, their
nutritional values, and the agronomic production of the locally
grown products.
