June 8-11, 2009 – Ag in the Classroom Program

                -A 4-day event that teaches local K-12 educators about agriculture in San Joaquin County.  They will tour local farms and ag businesses, receive numerous resources to take to the classroom, as well as lesson plans to incorporate agriculture into their curriculum. 

June 10, 2009- SJFB Board Meeting – SJFB Office – 6:30pm dinner, 7pm meeting

June 22, 2009 – SJFB Safety Training for Kids – SJ County Fairgrounds 4-H Ring – 4pm

                -Farm Bureau and partners in the community will be putting on safety demonstrations on numerous topics related to agriculture, including animals, shop safety, ATV safety and many more.  This event is presented for all 4-H and FFA animal exhibitors, and will be followed by a dinner.

June 24-28, 2009 – San Joaquin County Fair

June 26, 2009- Dairy Replacement Heifer Sale SJ County Fair – 6pm

                -SJFB to provide dinner at this event

June 27, 2009- Livestock Sale SJ County Fair – 9am

                -SJFB to provide lunch at this event

July 1, 2009- YF&R Sacramento River Cats Game

-In lieu of July meeting members will be attending the River Cats game in Sacramento.  Space is still available, call the office for more details

July 15, 2009- Spray Safe Program – Robert J. Cabral Agricultural Center   8:30am-1pm

-Demonstrate your commitment to safe farming by participating in an innovative new SPRAY SAFE program developed by fellow farmers and applicators to control drift and protect worker and public health. Please attend a kick-off meeting that will launch a new era in San Joaquin County agriculture.  Bring your supervisors, foremen and employees!  Great information for ALL! July 31,2009- Dinner in the Orchard
